Meir Panim Update
Students of the Ramaz Upper School in Manhattan Remember Louis Felder, z''l
January 1, 1970

In memory of Mr. Felder z”l, the students of the Ramaz Upper School in Manhattan organized a special tzedakah collection and raised $1,000 for Meir Panim. According to the Educational Director of Student Programs at Ramaz, the Felder children who are students at the school, specifically requested that the tzedakah be donated to Meir Panim because that’s what their Abba would have wanted.

To mark the completion of the Shloshim, Rabbi Haskel Lookstein, Ramaz Principal addressed the entire school and explained that learning a Mishnah, especially as a community, is a way of offering nechama. He also spoke of the midot that Mr. Felder z”l practiced and that the Mishnah (Berakhot 5:1) at that time was particularly relevant as we prepared for the Yamin Noraim.
