Meir Panim’s Summer Camp provides a fun, safe and nurturing environment for children whose families can not afford to send them to camp.
the Problem
Over 1.1 million children in Israel live below the poverty line. For families who can not afford to send their children to camp or take off from work, the summertime can be especially challenging.
While children often wait all year for the summer break, a lack of structure and supervision for kids with nothing to do, can cause them to fall behind and even get into trouble.
What’s worse, many of these children rely on school meals for daily nourishment and do not have consistent access to nutritious food at home.
our Solution
Camp Meir Panim provides disadvantaged Israeli children with incredible memories, engaging activities, and daily meals so they can look forward to the summer like everyone else and receive the stimulation and nourishment they need to enter the new school year on the right track.
Our Summer Camp also provides struggling parents with the peace of mind that their children are being cared for so they can focus on work and providing for their families instead of worrying about costly child care or having to take time off.

How we are making a difference
The summer is meant to be a time for fun and relaxation. Meir Panim believes that every child deserves to enjoy the summer and that no parent should have to worry about how their child will be cared for over break.
For local children whose families can not afford summer camps, Camp Meir Panim provides them with incredible summer memories, fun activities, water sports, and delicious meals. Every summer, our staff along with a team of volunteers, build an engaging and meaningful schedule of activities to keep these children learning, growing and busy in a fun and supportive environment.
Camp Meir Panim also features arts and crafts, meaningful workshops, water play, and everything in between, and of course, a full nutritious breakfast and lunch, and snacks galore.
This is just another way that Meir Panim individualizes its programs to take care of the unique needs of Israel’s needy year-round!
