The course took place at the Ohr Akiva Youth Center, under the management of Ms. Zehavi Ohana, who graciously agreed to host the program at the center. Rabbi Shalom Suissa invested in each and every child and instilled in the children the message of love and respect for all.
For five weeks the children enjoyed activities from 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM and were kept busy with games, arts and crafts and other group activities. They also enjoyed days at the pool and moonwalks, as well as trips across the country. The content of the course was designed to teach the children Jewish values and Jewish heritage. The course was sponsored by Meir Panim and the Lechem Foundation, headed by Ms. Ilanit Hafuta and many other donors.
At the closing ceremony, the children participated in a Jewish Heritage quiz and prizes were distributed. In addition, certificates of honor were awarded to Mayor Mr. Simcha Yosefov, his assistant, Meir Lev Tov, municipality member Avraham Cohen, Shlomi Segev, Shlomi Vazana, and Shimon Amoyal for their contribution to the success of the course.
