The soldiers were very successful, (who can say no to a uniformed soldier?) collecting large amounts of fruits, vegetables, non-perishables, and chicken. The soldiers loaded Meir Panim’s refrigerated truck with the food, which was brought directly to Meir Panim’s free restaurant in Jerusalem and was cooked into a delicious meal for several hundred diners.

The soldiers described the activity as a particularly challenging and satisfying experience.
