Laura Ben-David
Laura Ben-David was a gifted writer, photographer, and leader in the Anglo-Israeli community. At Nefesh B’Nefesh (an organization supporting aliyah to Israel) and Shavei Israel (an organization connecting lost and hidden Jewish communities), she brought to life the stories of olim (immigrants to Israel) and Jewish communities worldwide, while her book Moving Up chronicled her own aliyah (immigration to Israel) journey. Through her photography, exhibitions, and the Jewish Life Photo Bank, she captured Israel’s beauty and promoted an authentic representation of Jewish life. Remembered for her joy, love, and light, she is deeply missed by family, friends, and admirers everywhere.
