Power of Giving

At Meir Panim, we believe in providing more than just a hot meal. Our Power of Giving program provides our clients with help for all of their needs, whatever they may be.

How We Are Making a Difference

To meet this need, Meir Panim’s “Koach Latet” Power of Giving (POG) program collects second-hand equipment, furniture, household electrical appliances, clothes, etc. for distribution to needy individuals. The items are repaired, cleaned, and cataloged before being distributed.

“It gets so cold here in the winter, especially at night. When my radiator stopped working last year I didn’t know what to do. Meir Panim was ready to help, and replaced my radiator within the day!”

Orphan, 20 years old

“For weeks, my family was without a fridge. We lived day by day since we couldnt store any food for the next. Within a few days of calling Meir Panim with our plight, a volunteer showed up at my door with a fridge and enough groceries to fully stock it”.

Father of 4

in Dimona

A pregnant young mother displaced from her home in Metula, Northern Israel reached out to us for financial help. Our team in Or Akiva went into action ensuring she had all the essentials to meet her new baby.

We also provided a huge set of basic necessities to a drafting IDF soldier from a single-parent home, including; toiletries, warm socks, underwear, leggings, and undershirts.

Our clientele

Recipients include victims of terror attacks trying to rebuild their lives, lone soldiers who came to Israel on their own to serve in the IDF, new immigrants struggling to adapt to their new country, the elderly and handicapped, and thousands of needy children and families who receive backpacks and school supplies via POG’s associated programs.

POG works in cooperation with the municipal welfare services, government offices, and the army. There are currently 4 warehouses strategically located in distressed cities throughout Israel, as well as a social giving website.
