Holocaust Survivor Day Center

In partnership with the city of Dimona, we are dedicated to providing Holocaust survivors in southern Israel with the dignity, care, and high quality of life they deserve.

Our solution

Our Dimona Day Center is designed to bring joy, comfort, and dignity to local Holocaust survivors. Each day, we welcome these resilient individuals with nourishing food, lively social events, and a supportive network that ensures they never have to feel alone in their golden years.

How we are making a difference

We partner closely with the Dimona community to provide a dignified, safe space for Holocaust survivors. Through the dedication of our professional staff, we turn isolation into connection.

Every day, we offer a reliable, warm environment where elderly survivors receive essential emotional, social, and physical support. To help our participants beat the intense desert heat in the summer, we organize vibrant excursions outside the Meir Panim complex, including trips to the local pool club, water aerobics classes, daytime movies, and special dining experiences. Because safety is always our absolute priority, every single activity and trip is fully supervised by our attentive staff and volunteers, giving participants total peace of mind as they enjoy a much-deserved change of pace.

“Working with these Survivors has been an absolute pleasure! We have watched their smiles grow each day.”

“I was so unhappy before… It is amazing to be apart of this community of fellow Survivors”

Nourishing Mind and Body
We serve our seniors a warm, fresh breakfast and a nutritious lunch every day, ensuring their physical needs are met with dignity. Beyond providing healthy meals, our trained staff and social workers closely look after each survivor's emotional well-being, turning daily dining into an opportunity for meaningful connection and care.
Nurturing Minds and Souls
Our dedicated social workers design and lead enriching activities specifically tailored for Holocaust survivors. For those who might otherwise face the day alone, these programs provide a vital source of mental, emotional, and social stimulation. Through these tailored activities and attentive care, our staff ensures that every individual feels seen, valued, and deeply supported.
Building a Supportive Community
The Dimona Day Center offers a warm, secure space where Holocaust survivors can connect deeply with both our compassionate staff and their own peers. This vibrant social hub provides essential emotional and social support, fostering a true sense of belonging and family for a vulnerable population that might otherwise face life's challenges entirely alone.
