Meir Panim Update
Poker Tournament Raises Funds to Feed Israel’s Hungry
January 1, 1970

Among the participants were world-renowned poker legends Daniel Negreanu, David Oppenheim &
David Levi, who helped elevate this event to a whole other league. Though unable to join us due to his son’s Bar Mitzvah (mazal tov!), we also want to thank the talented Eli Elezra for his staunch support of this event and our cause.

Several hundred people came out to support the event, bringing with them a powerful positive energy that flowed like electricity throughout the day. Everyone was in a happy mood and at any given time you could see people smiling and laughing as they gave back to the community, while enjoying themselves immensely.

The ballroom looked amazing. Tables were set up in a way that allowed players and guests to move
around the room, reach the catering stations, and mingle amongst themselves. At the center of the
ballroom stood the silent auction table, featuring coveted objects ranging from musical instruments to sports memorabilia to handcrafted jewelry products.

A magnificent red carpet led to the entrance of the ballroom, adjacent to the popular photo-booth,
hosted by the talented Yeela Lavi Photography, where participants lined up to take pictures and make memories. The event itself was documented by photography mastermind, Yuval Lavi, and videography guru Alon Merom.

Catering was provided by Bocca Steakhouse under the guidance of acclaimed chef, Dudi Asraf who
provided an abundance of delicious food and a large selection of dishes to satisfy even the most picky eater.

Event Coordinator Orly Tal was the powerhouse who pulled this all together. She worked day and
night, doing everything possible to make the event a resounding success. Her commitment and passion
showed in every aspect of the event.

We are so grateful to our sponsors: Stanley Black, Leo David, Jona Goldrich, Max Webb, and Andrew
Stevens. This event would not have been possible without them. Our premier sponsor, Cirque Du Soleil, provided participants with selected tickets to see the Iris Show before its conclusion in January, as well as tickets to the breathtaking shows Mystere and Criss Angel’s Believe.

We would also like to thank Bruce Fine for entertaining the crowd, and our emcee, George Kozal, who brought energy and excitement to a long day.

Thanks must be given to the Bicycle Casino staff: Caroline DeCarlo, Mo Fathipour, and Adel Foroozin,
who were always ready to undertake whatever was needed. It was an absolute pleasure working with
such an energetic and positive team.

Orly Tal & American Friends of Meir Panim want to personally thank each and every person that made
this event such a success. Without the strong desire to help within the community this event would not have been possible. Your support will allow thousands of needy families to enjoy a beautiful Passover!
