Meir Panim Update
Passover 2012 at Meir Panim
January 1, 1970

Nearly 3,000 individuals were matched with host families for a Passover Seder through Meir Panim’s “Kulam Beseder” campaign, a special initiative launched to ensure that no one should have to spend Passover alone. More than 9,000 calls were received at Meir Panim’s call center, from both hosts and potential guests.

“It is especially meaningful to be able to help people in need by inviting them to our Seder table,” says David Roth, AFMP President.

In addition, nearly 400 individuals participated in meaningful Seder ceremonies, hosted by Meir Panim in five locations across the country.

For struggling families wishing to celebrate Pesach in their own homes, Meir Panim distributed over 2,000 prepaid food shopping cards, enabling them to purchase Passover necessities and to fill their refrigerators and pantries.

In addition, over 1,500 food baskets, containing fresh produce, eggs, fish, meat and wine, were distributed to less fortunate Israelis, bringing joy and meaning to the Passover season.

Many thanks to all the staff, volunteers and donors who helped make the Passover campaign so successful!
