Israel loves Purim!

Purim in Israel for kids in school is a two-week affair, starting with Rosh Chodesh Adar, last Thursday. Schools celebrate each day with a different theme of dressing up (crazy hat day, Israeli flag day, etc.) and special fun classes peppered through the schedule.

Every child deserves to feel the joy of dressing up like “all the other kids”. Thanks to the generous donation of Professor Orly Yeheskel, parents that are unable to afford to purchase costumes from the store, are encouraged to bring their kids to the Or Akiva’s Purim store and select costumes.

Catwoman Delivers Mishloach Manot

Ilanit, the Catwoman, along with volunteers from the local police force and the Meir Panim staff, coordinated individual visits to regional retirement centers, hostels, and the children’s oncology department at Rambam Hospital in the Haifa area, distributing over 250 mishloach manot/toy packages, and A LOT of Purim joy!
