Meir Panim Update
Making sure everyone can celebrate Purim
March 13, 2023

Purim 2023 at Meir Panim is in the books! Between coordinating Mishloach Manot Packages, festive Seudah meals, and costume drives, our branch staff and volunteers deserve a round of applause!!!

At a time of year and holiday that is so joyous, Meir Panim aims to bring our patrons extra joy and help them celebrate the holiday with abundance, even during a difficult time of their lives.

We go out of our way to make sure that the holiday of Purim is not only about providing for those in need by giving them the ability to give back as well. Each patron receives two Mishloach Manot Packages, one to keep and one to give to someone else, allowing them to fulfill a component of the holiday and feel dignified in giving to another person.

This Purim, our branch managers also took the time to create meaningful holiday experiences for those who aren’t able to celebrate traditionally, including children with Autism Spectrum Disorder who have a difficult time with loud noises and crowds, women and children being sheltered from domestic violence who are unable to go out in public, and Holocaust survivors who have a difficult time getting out independently.

It is our honor to have had the ability to connect with so many needy individuals this year, and to have disturbed over 20,000 Mishloach Manot Packages and provide festive Seudah meals for 5,000 patrons in our branches and their own homes!
