Meir Panim Update
High Holiday 2019 Recap
October 28, 2019

A special thanks to our supporters for helping Judith, thousands of Holocaust survivors and Israeli citizens in need to make the High Holidays happen.

Highlights from the campaign, in case you missed it!

Our Meir Panim Restaurant-Style Soup Kitchen in Dimona hosted a group of IDF soldiers to volunteer last week, from the Combat Engineers division.  We thank these brave, strong soldiers and volunteers in our branch for spending time with our Holocaust Survivors.

Nissim, head of the Meir Panim Restaurant-Style Soup Kitchen in Dimona, met students last week when he visited two schools to share Meir Panim’s mission. He returned to our center with full bags for distribution for Rosh HashanahIt was so heartwarming to see children take part in tzedakah and how effective Nissim was in his charge to have them go out and give back.

A wonderful donation of fresh fruits from arrived from local donor and business owner, Shimon Tubol.

Dimona Holocaust Survivor shared his story (photo seen below).

The Wearp Family Volunteered in Meir Panim’s Jerusalem location. We were blessed to have them. Their company, Blessed Buy Israel is dedicated to sharing the best of products made here in Israel with the United States. The hope is to build a relationship to support Israeli families, primarily living over the green line areas. Read more about them by clicking here.

Our Neviim center, the week before Rosh Hashana, gathered young adults who went around the neighborhood distributing apples and honey to pedestrians wishing them a Shana Tova.

In our Nir Am center, furniture was moved around to be able to add more space for young adults who come to the center on a regular basis.

Enjoy some of our photos below.
