As a part of a team building retreat, a group of co-workers from the Tel Aviv-based international company, Monday.com, wanted to integrate giving back to the community.
They reached out to Meir Panim to visit our Jerusalem branch as the first stop in their mission to start the day on the right foot. Meir Panim was a perfect fit for this group, as our no questions asked policy, welcoming all who come through our doors with dignity and respect is a key value of Monday.com’s. The team was impressed that, in the center of Jerusalem, just blocks from the bus and railway stations, our branch sits every day, waiting to help all in need who come in.
The Monday.com employees came ready to work and help break the cycle of poverty in Israel! After a brief introduction to Meir Panim’s values and mission, they headed into the kitchen and got to work chopping vegetables, preparing soup and meats, welcoming and serving our patrons and clearing tables with efficiency and joy.
The morning at Meir Panim was a humbling, inspiring and shocking experience for the Monday.com team. It is one thing to read the statistics about the poverty rate and another to see it with your own eyes. The setting allowed the group to bond, taking them out of their daily environment and prompting deeper conversations and connections.
The group made a tremendous impact on the day’s service- touching the hearts of each patron that came in and experiencing the geniune enthusiasm and gratitude in return, truly highlighting the power of a helping hand.
Meir Panim’s Jerusalem staff were so grateful to have their help and to serve as the first stop on their day’s agenda, setting the tone for the day in a meaningful hands-on way. We are thrilled to add Monday.com to our list of corporate partners
