Tuesday was free shuk day in Or Akiva. Meir Panim’s Illanit was on hand to distribute food to the needy with the help of local volunteers. They also got help from the IDF as they sent soldiers to assist in the activities.

This weekly distribution ensures that the residents can get the groceries they need. While Meir Panim makes premade meals available, it is also important to stock their homes with food staples. The shuk was of course handled healthily and safely. Besides for the fact that the shuk is open-air, everyone made sure to maintain social distance.
