Accepting the award on behalf of the organization was Sarit Rubenstein,
California Regional Director of Meir Panim.
Established seven years ago to unify Jewish youth of the East Bay
Community by emphasizing the importance of activism and philanthropy, the East Bay Teen Foundation approached more than 100 charitable organizations this year to submit proposals for their awards. The teens were specifically
interested in programs that work to aid victims of genocide, assist with immigrant youth in Israel, and that increase peace through positive and meaningful dialogue. After careful scrutiny and a rigorous selection process, Meir Panim was one of seven programs that merited the youth program’s grant.
