Meir Panim Update
Bat Mitzvah Celebrated in Dimona
December 3, 2019

Meir Panim is honored to share a beautiful story from our Dimona branch this week!

Earlier this fall a young lady named Sarit Rachel, who lives in the south in a Gaza adjacent community called Yishuv Shlomit, was preparing for her Bat Mitzvah. She wanted to add some meaning to the celebration and she along with her family began researching how to give back. They found our Holocaust Survivor Day Center and decided they would bake cupcakes, prepare care packages and write special notes for the senior citizen Holocaust Survivors. The family and their guests thoroughly enjoyed celebrating Sarit’s Bat Mitzvah in this personal and touching way.

Sarit’s parents delivered these packages and the goodies were distributed by a class, from the local Alfassi school who were volunteering and visiting the center.

Consider your Bar or Bat mitzvah project by volunteering at Meir Panim.
