Earlier this week, staff and volunteers at Meir Panim’s Restaurant-Style Soup Kitchen in Dimona spent a day preparing special food packages to ensure that local needy residents would not be left hungry during Rosh Hashanah.
Employees from a local nuclear power plant donated their time as a team-building exercise, joining forces with staff members and regular volunteers at the restaurant to prepare the holiday packages.

The holiday volunteering activity consisted of packing the boxes with both pantry goods and cooked meals. The Dimona restaurant will be closed for the Rosh Hashanah holiday, so the boxes are filled with food to sustain restaurant clients during this time period.
After packed and ready to go, the boxes were distributed to grateful local residents. Having this holiday food will allow them the opportunity to celebrate at home with their loved ones.
Meir Panim is thrilled to be able to support this struggling community thanks to the generosity of our dedicated volunteers and donors.
