Meir Panim Update
Farmers' Protest Aids Needy Israelis
January 1, 1970

Protesters blocked 13 major intersections across Israel with tractors, farming equipment, Israeli flags and produce littering the ground, as a symbol of what Israel’s agricultural system will look like without foreign workers. But the valuable produce was not wasted – it was donated to Meir Panim! A Meir Panim truck visited each protest and collected the fresh fruits and vegetables for distribution amongst the needy in southern Israel.

Meir Panim sends its heartfelt thanks to the Israel Farmers’ Federation for the donation.
