Chanukah 2020
2020 is finally coming to an end, a year that for most has brought incredible challenges.
That holds especially true for the growing number of Israel’s disadvantaged, who are unable to put food on their tables due to the high unemployment rate caused by the pandemic. However, they are not in this alone.Â
Meir Panim feels the weight of its responsibility to help them get through it. Despite experiencing its own set of challenges due to the coronavirus, like being unable to rescue surplus foods from local restaurants, hotels, and institutions, Meir Panim has managed to feed triple the number of people it assisted previously.Â
This in part has been made possible thanks to our generous donors from around the world, as well as the overflow of volunteers who help us prepare and deliver thousands of meals a day. Our work is far from over though! We remain committed to serving as many people as possible for as long as it takes.Â
With Chanukah coming up, we must reflect on the light that is around us- like the food on our tables and roofs over our heads-and spread it to those who are less fortunate. Together, we can help light up the world by working to ensure that every Israeli family is fed this Chanukah and all of winter.Â
Chanukah 2020
Will you join us and help us feed the needy this winter?
As the year comes to an end, please consider making a donation. Your gift will help Meir Panim continue to provide a lifeline to thousands of Israelis suffering financially due to COVID-19 and ensure no child goes to bed hungry during the cold winter months.
