Proceeds from the concert will help Meir Panim, one of Israel’s largest poverty relief organizations, in their efforts to provide meals and other critical services to Israel’s most vulnerable citizens – hungry children, impoverished Holocaust survivors and families struggling to make their daily ends meet.
The concert was followed by a magnificent dairy, dessert and wine reception that showcased cheeses generously donated Tnuva and wines from Royal Wine Corp. Guests enjoyed a delightful spread catered by Alan Weiss, who provided an abundance of delicious fruit and desserts with an array of selections to please all in attendance.

We are so grateful to all of our sponsors and to each and every person that made this event the huge success that it was. AFMP’s Maryland Regional Director Leslie Goldberg worked day and night to pull this together. Special thanks go out to our Title Sponsors, The David and Barbara B. Hirschhorn Foundation, Karen and Bill Glazer and Roz and Marvin Weiner.
Last but not least, our deepest appreciation goes out to the Baltimore community for their strong compassion and concern for the impoverished of Israel whom Meir Panim serves.
With relief centers across the country, Meir Panim is fighting the poverty crisis in Israel on a daily basis. Meir Panim serves all Israelis, regardless of ethnicity or religious background, through food and social service programs that give dignity, respect and relief to the country’s neediest residents.
Final touches are being made on Meir Panim’s most ambitious project to date, the Mortimer B. Zuckerman, Abigail Zuckerman & Renee Zuckerman Israel Nutrition Center in Kiryat Gat. At full capacity, the facility will provide up to 30,000 meals daily for distribution through Meir Panim’s restaurant-style soup kitchens, Meals-on-Wheels, Meals for Children and after-school programs.
